I’m sure Honda has done its homework on this but from my experience riding (and wrecking) motorcycles this seems sketchy. When you get in a wreck on a motorcycle it is always best to stay on the bike. The airbag looks like it would make it very difficult to keep a grip on the handle bars. I’d love to have the stereo though!
I recently saw the goldwing with the airbag deployed and a video of its operation at the motorcycle expo in New York. I was very impressed!!! The video explained in detail how the system worked and showed various frontal collision senarios with a crash dummy on the machine. From the video, it looks like the system really works and would significantly reduce rider injuries from such collisions. When comparing price to safety, I think it is definately worth it.
