I would hope that someday, it will be against the law to get any tattoo under the age of 18, with or without parent permission. If a parent gives permission for this before 18, they are an UN-FIT parent.

The main problem related with the issue is its permanence and initial pain, especially with children. But if a kid really wants to have one, when there is no risk of any infection with modern clean and sterilized methods, I don’t think they must be discouraged to have it. But before getting it, one must make sure that the child is vaccinated for diseases like Hepatitis B.

I think if you want one ...go ahead its expressing what u like i an art form on your body i think by the age of 17 is ok to decide and i dont think if your parent lets you get one there NOT an unfit parent, there just simply letting you express how you feel...its your body after all just be wise beacuse your gonna have it for the rest of your life.:)

I’m 18 in August and for my 17th and 18th birthday my Mum shouted me a tattoo. I have got two now and I don’t regret either one. I think as a parent you need to listen to your child and decide whether it’s a passing fad and faze, or something serious
