That is the coolest computer I have ever seen! I would love for something like that to come out, but it would probably cost more than I could ever imagine.

I don’t think most people would be thrilled with a computer on which everything on-screen is visible (in reverse) to anyone who walks by. Beautiful but completely impractical.

A touch screen would get pretty grimy after a while.

Uh, hello... IT’S NOT REAL!

For such a ”future” design, it is basically just a current iMac with a clear screen. Apple has never released a major upgrade that looks at all similar to it’s past machines, and likely never will. Looks nice, though. Nice render, I mean.
Also, It looks nice when it is off, but it is effectively useless when it is on. (i.e. what happens when light comes from behind? the image gets totally washed out)

3ds max is a wonderful tool.

I wonder if its as indestructable as other macs. i would get this moniter, but not a mac compy as they are ineficient for gaming due to incompatability with other needed components. still a good concept, and i imagine the would figure out how to make it a one way screen

I love this design! I was formerly a mac user, but I switched to linux because I felt it’s just as good and i can build a more powerful machine for less cash. If I did have the money (and, duh, if it existed) I would buy one to have along my linux box!

Well.. nice. But this being a future concept, why the FUCK is the keyboard still the same BULLSHIT layout from 1800!?!? You’d think in the future there are keyboard with a more efficient design approach than getting all keys on aboard so the hammers won’t lock. (if you don’t know what the fuck i am talking about, look up the history of keyboards in wikipedia!)

Everything else is fantastic. And awesome.

Oh, and the mouse probably has 23 buttons, 8 scrollwheels, 4 sliders, 6 rocker switches, etc. Less is more... like the mac mouse, one button + scrollwheel is all i want.

uh, ergonomic keyboard? hello? is anyone seeing the same totally non-ergonomic keyboard as i? its curving the exact opposite way that your arms/wrist lay naturally. can you guys imagine having to type with squeezing your wrists inward against each other? ouch.

very nice and slick design. One problem is the keyboard. This is the complete opposite of an ergonomic keyboard. Have a look at the Microsoft natural keyboard or any other real ergonomic keyboard.

from what i understand, this wasn’t an exercise in ergonomic design guys...the idea was to make darn cool looking mac and render.

If this computer was real, it would be the coolest computer out right now. Maybe it doesn’t have a burner because by the time technology like this comes around, disc media will be obsolete. Maybe the keyboard isn’t ergonomic because that wasn’t the artist’s focus?

I think people who just find something bad to say about coolest stuff are the dumbest people alive.

The DVD drive is at the worst possible location, the same goes for I/O and power switch. No adjustable screen height or angle. Not surround sound yet...

So I’m convinced, it is a real Mac prototype! :D

the clear base ( while very pretty ) looks like it really wants to tip the whole thing over on it’s back...

Now, if I could place a webcam behind the screen, virtual eye contact could be realized. There was talk of developing someday a pixel cam in the middle of the screen.

Deffinitely the coolest thing i’ve seen in a while, although the technology for it has been around for a bit now.

I just am not the type that would buy it for the looks, unless it offers something ”old school” flat panels cannot and would not be able to provide.

very cool but if this is a future Imac then skip usb and plugs like that. Also the keyboard, skip it, it’ll probably be that red lazier thing that some person came up with a few years back. also as cool as the see through monitor is be realistic, this is prob 2-5 years off by then it’ll be in its first stage of 2d holographic displays 2-4 more years it’ll be true 3d graphics also the speakers could be right on the computer its self and as cool as the disc drive is they already have solid state memory out and its getting cheaper (2 GB SD memory card under $120) in all this seems like a really cool concept but remember its a concept, don’t forget to think out side the box.
